In my opinion, psb speakers are ideal for those who do not like protruding high frequencies. The mids are very tight and pleasant, and, unexpectedly for shelf speakers, deep lows! I bought these active psb am5 8 months ago. I connected via Bluetooth to the computer, I liked the sound immediately, even without warming up. Via Bluetooth MP3 in chic quality! Shortcomings and advantages are immediately audible in files of different compression and in the sound of those radio stations (online) that transmit a more compressed / truncated signal. When connecting via Bluetooth from an iPhone, I hear a loss of sound quality - Bluetooth in an iPhone does not have the aptX codec that is in the speakers, so the sound is better from a computer (there is a more advanced codec). Completed the system with a Rel subwoofer. It is the shelf speakers that work out the low frequencies, they do great for my 25 m2! The sub adds only tangible vibrations and is inaudible. These speakers do not need a subwoofer, but for me a subwoofer should be in any system)) Among the shortcomings - I did not figure out how to conduct a signal in FLAC / ALAC quality from a computer to speakers via wires, I would like to understand if I hear a difference in sound in compared to Bluetooth playback, which can only handle MP3 quality. There is only one active speaker, the second is connected to it with a wire. There are Phono inputs with ground, Optical, Aux, USB only Audio, but for some reason there is no 2RCA input. There is no good USB input either. Exit Sub Out and to the second column. Bluetooth connection is stable, does not crash. Remote control with a variety of sound settings and 4 modes: stereo, "wide", dialogue, "wide" + dialogue. There are no glitches, the build quality is nothing to complain about! Grills metal on magnets. When idle, the network indicator shines brighter than we would like - I disconnect it from the network. Those who like to sound "a little darker" will love these speakers! While I do not want to improve anything and more than satisfied!
