These are very comfortable hiking boots but they were a bit stiff out of the box. They loosened up with a 3 mile walk & now feel great. This boot feels like it has a bit less room in the toe box than many Keen hikers but still good.The heel holds my foot steady & I can lace it up comfortably around my ankle. The boots stay steady on my feet. They have good traction & are not heavy. I have a small bunion on one foot & these boots did feel more tight on that foot but not uncomfortable. I am just used to a Keen hiker that has a bit more room & less stiffness. They kept my feet dry.The insole is removable for washing or changing to a more supportive insole. This insole is good but I like a bit more arch support so will probably change it out.
