Review on ๐ŸŽฎ USB3.0 HDR 4K Capture Card: Live Streaming, 1080p@60fps, Mic & Gamepad Support for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One & More by Brian Unruh

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I think it's finally time to consider this capture card.

I've been spending months using this as my daily driver for my threads lately. And I have to say I was impressed! But I also expected some crashes. I use this with my Xbox One X for my 2013 iMac with Windows 10 which includes OBS for my streams. This device is totally PLUG N PLAY, which is very cool, so no drivers are required. However, I've noticed that in the Obse itself, the pixelation and color imbalance are slightly disturbed. With a little color correction I was able to fix it, but it doesn't look good in stock. Again, this is something about OBS as I didn't have the same problem when playing through the Microsoft Windows "Camera App". Perhaps that's what OBS needs to fix in terms of capture card compatibility. However, one star less didn't affect it. The reason I put 4 instead is if 5 is due to HDR skipping. The capture card cannot capture an HDR signal and post-process it to look normal. Colors get very blurry and washed out and everything on the capture card side looks like a mess. (The TV is absolutely fine and passthrough works fine) but if you want to use HDR, passthrough with this device while recording. This doesn't happen and I would recommend disabling HDR if using this while streaming.
