I had a really hard time deciding whether to buy the Oink Oink Lid as most of the reviews on this product said it was cute and they loved it to use it. . It didn't tell me much, but I decided to buy it because of the low price. I will share what I would like to read and I will compare this product to another lid I recently purchased (Tovolo Folding Microwave Lid). EASY TO CLEAN. The Oink Microwave Oink Lid is smooth making it incredibly easy to clean! I compare the smoothness of this product to the Tovolo Microwave Folding Lid. I personally found the Tovolo product difficult to clean as the material rubs off easily and the ridges make cleaning difficult. So when I used the Oink Oink lid I was very pleased with the fact that it doesn't stain (even from pasta sauce) and its smoothness makes it easy to clean.2. EASY TO HOLD. I've read that several reviewers say the grip is too shallow and difficult to hold. I think it's a matter of perspective. My husband and I grab the handle easily. Again, the fat pig is very easy to grab compared to the Tovolo folding lid, which features a three-finger snap as standard! It's amazing the value of this pigsty! You can grab this thing with all your fingers, which is why it's so easy to hold.3. GOOD SIZES (ALSO FOR COOKING). Some reviewers said that Oink Oink is too low for their purposes, so that really worried me. However, after several uses, I had no problem with the height of this product. My biggest concern is that we use rectangular cooking containers that we microwave for a week. This is important to me because the ridges on the Tovolo folding lid kept sticking to our rectangular cooking utensils, so when we opened the lid our utensils went up with them! It annoyed us terribly. Because of this experience I was very critical of the Oink Oink cap to see if something like this would happen. To my pleasant surprise, nothing bad happened! According to the product information, Oink Microwave Oink Lid measures 10.2 x 10.2 x 3.5 inches. For our use, Oink's dimensions are excellent: our rectangular cooking plates don't stick to the lid, the top of the microwave lid never touches our food, it fits small plates and large 10.5-inch dinner plates (note that the Oink-koink on top of large plates sits about 2/16 inch from the edge). IT WORKS. The Oink lid does exactly what it's supposed to do: protect the microwave from splatters. The vents on the Oink Oink are quite thick compared to the flip top lid on the Tovolo, so I checked very carefully to make sure splashes weren't getting through the vents. They weren't!5. SUPER SWEET. I have to write this last because it has nothing to do with the practical use of this product. Thing is, it works and is perfect for all of our needs, but I'm damned. this thing is very cute! All in all, having used the Oink Oink lid a few times with multiple dishes, I find this to be the most versatile microwave lid. I hope your experience with this cover is as positive as it was for me. I love it SERIOUSLY!
