Silent "PC for home theater "

The fan in my old (Core i3) HTPC died. I was hesitant to go with an unknown manufacturer, but I'm glad I did. The fanless heatsink case works surprisingly well and this thing is SO much faster than my old HTPC - I can finally watch UHD content while recording something else in the background! (Of course, instead of paying for a pre-installed mSATA SSD of unknown speed and quality, I installed a Samsung 970 EVO 1TB. DisplayPort, "plug-in active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter" and HDMI 2.0 cable. I thought I should do it I was fiddling with the settings in Windows but the PC immediately recognized my Sony Bravia TV (XBR-55A8G) as a 4K/HDCP/HDR display Everything "just worked" including the sound!, to every possibility (TDP of 15W, which is perfect for passive cooling but can be MUCH higher in Turbo mode.) By the way, this PC's BIOS gives you a lot of control with all sorts of advanced options that even PC enthusiasts might not realize. The mini PC has vents at the top and bottom, but there's not enough airflow to keep a "bare" high-end SSD happy. However, there are enough m distance is about 16mm from the surface of the M.2 SSD to the wall of the case. I added a cheap 12mm heatsink that dropped the SSD temperature from 54C to 44C in normal use.
