Too bad it came with an adapter for faster use with a drill.

Generates torque. You can remove the snap ring and fill it with grease. Mine was completely dry and the gears were sloppy, metal on metal. Now it spins easier and quieter. If like me you have hard locknuts you will definitely be fine as it takes about 25 turns for the handle to make one turn on the locknut. It would be nice to have a 1" square shank adapter that you could use a drill on to increase the speed. I had 4 tires with 10 nuts each and also the rear duals had an extra bolt for the inner rim. 40 wheel nuts and 20 secondary nuts. pins are removed. Your shoulder and wrist will be trained.
