Hard to believe, but the new one is flowing even faster than the old one. It shouldn't leak at all. This model is listed on a sticker under the cistern of my toilet. Confirmed this via email with Kohler. This is a dark blue and very flexible rubber compared to the light blue somewhat stiff rubber of the old one. It's also slightly larger in overall diameter and the swingarm length is slightly longer than the original. It seemed like these two differences were meant to improve performance. But that's not the case. At first I thought the problem was that the device I received was in packaging that was a little squashed/crumpled which made it not lay completely flat. But he was flattened from packing for a few days. So I don't think that's all. I am extremely disappointed. I checked all other possible causes, including the leak slowly draining the tank until it stopped. It stopped just below the bottom edge of the damper. So it's not due to a bad seal between the flush valve assembly and the ceramic. I don't know what I'm going to do next. Try returning it I think and use a different brand. Shish! Edit: Purchased and installed a Fluidmaster rigid frame adjustable shock. Worked first time, no leaks. In the future I will avoid very flexible valves like this Kohler.
