While I love my stainless steel OXO Good Grips LiquiSeal Travel Mug, keeping it clean is a challenge. This brush is effective enough to gently wipe coffee residue off the sides of the glass. The brush fits snugly in the glass and with the addition of hot water and dish soap was able to remove most of the coffee residue that had built up. Now I mostly see bare metal. If you use this brush regularly from day one, I expect your glass to remain nice and shiny on the inside. My example is an extreme case. I used my OXO travel mug daily for several months before purchasing this brush. The rest of the coffee was quite thick. The handle is long enough that I can hold it when it's fully inserted into the jar. I would almost call it a washcloth for your travel mug.
