Update 2 5/31/21: My third Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper hair dryer died after two years of daily use. I'm so glad it wasn't discontinued! I bought another one. 😊Update1, 10/26/19: My second Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper died after two years of daily use. I bought another one to replace it. 😊 - - - - I bought this Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper hair dryer from Revain in an open box. It replaces my Conair 1875 watt Cord-Keeper hair dryer which I bought in December 2013 and which died after 3 1/2 years of daily use. The dryer is new and works just as well as my old one. It's noisy, but so was my old one. My son once joked that when I cranked the air to the max, it sounded like a plane taking off. Normally, the "Low" setting is sufficient. I only use the high setting when I'm running late and need to dry my hair quickly. I love pink, my old one was red. I've seen some complaints about the retractable cord hazard. I don't know why Conair doesn't have instructions. Before you press the retract cord button, secure the connector so that it will not hit you when you retract the cord. I take the cord just below the connector and hold it close to the base of the handle (see photo). Then, with my other hand, I push the button to retract the cable.
