I came back to change my review because I may have finally solved ONE problem I was having with the camera. If so, then it completely changes my opinion of this camera. My problem was that the camera kept turning off at random times during use and I thought it was a driver issue. After a lot of research and observing closely when this happened, I believe it is a power management issue with my laptop's settings. This only happens when the battery is in use and the power setting was trying to save power by turning off USB devices (which is why it looked pretty random). You can either edit the power plan used by the laptop or just plug in the power cord. The camera appears reliable when the power cord is connected and supplies the device with the necessary power. The tracking function works a little jerkily. , but for my purposes (training and hangouts with zoom) it works quite well. The small tripod that comes with it is very stable, but too low for me, so I use another tripod or a gooseneck clamp. I've even outfitted it with a small Star Wars figurine on top instead of a phone holder (and I use the built-in camera) and my students love to see it "follow" me around the room like it's the Force deploy. .
