I was checking the drive I received today from a third party Storage Dealz when I noticed that the drive that I received, was manufactured in November 2014. , There is a March 2019 date disc in the product listing. I was expecting some variation but not a five year difference. I was running the open source Crystaldiskinfo utility and a few things didn't match. The utility reported that the drive is a SATA-3, not SATA-6 as listed in the product listing. Toshiba's warranty page does not have a serial number or the same product name. Only half an hour after examining the disc, despite the SMART star scan, I started hearing thumps from the disc. I have provided photo scans and screenshots. The file does not contain a serial number. Observations: The disc makes rough random hits. I will contact Revane.
