That part about "boxes as a separate art form" being awesome is spot on. Yes, unfortunately the bill falls on all of us. Separate alarms can be set on the clock, and both the alarm on your phone and the one on the clock will vibrate until you turn them off. The clock rattles noticeably when it is sitting on a shelf, and I haven't figured out how to prevent that from happening.
- Traditional Chinese craftsmanship is always on another level—just ridiculously cool. It's helpful that the prediction and the weather on the phone are identical. Everything related to music management is finished, including displaying the song's title and adjusting the volume. Whether or not this feature is useful in the present world, it's nice to know that you have the option of recording music on the watch and connecting acoustics over Bluetooth if you're planning on playing sports without a phone. I require a stopwatch or timer to be easily integrated into my clock. The buttons are typical, with a list of available programs at the top and a single program at the bottom. Before that, I was using a buttonless watch, which is quite inconvenient.
- Strangely, the solution requires only one orientation of the clock to be parked in it while charging magnetically over USB-C. My watch lasts around a week and a half when I always keep it connected to my phone but leave the heart rate monitor off. Okay, so a compass has some utility (if only as a kind of fun), but why you'd want a barometer (which doubles as an altimeter) is beyond me. They should have included a thermometer. Widgets, or shortcut screens, are less in number and less functional than apps; for instance, the weather widget lacks a forecast while being part of the program. The always-on screen only has a handful of fixed dials, and I find that none of them are particularly helpful. In ten different languages, the instructions only state things like "guess yourself." For instance, it is not explicitly stated that the gesture for "back" is a swipe from left to right.
