So I bought it because the one I had was turning black. Yes, I know, do not wash in the dishwasher. This is advertised as stainless steel. The packaging says it's stainless steel. The box itself clearly says "Metal, not dishwasher safe", see photo. It's not stainless steel, it's the same scrap aluminum I was trying to replace. Your mileage may vary. TO UPDATE. The seller contacted me and sent me the correct part free of charge. Everyone makes mistakes, but that never happens. The stainless steel whisk is much better made than the original, not flimsy at all, works better and seems to last a very long time to me. Worth every cent of the purchase price. Thank you Aligate!
