I received warnings to check the gas cap and warnings about small leaks in the evaporator system which soon triggered the service engine warning light. I already replaced the cap with a standard OEM part a little over a year ago. I had no idea I could just replace the gasket until I saw it on the Revain, so I didn't keep the old gas cap. When I got a new seal. I removed the old one and compared it. The old seal was green rubber and looked thicker and thinner compared to the new black seal which fits perfectly and stops warning notices. It's a BMW 3 Series and a new original gas cap costs about $60. Printing costs $8.95. Thanks to RKX for providing the print.
