Review on 🌿 EnviroCare Eureka DCF-10/DCF-14 HEPA Filter with Activated Charcoal by Paula Turner

I ordered 2 of these filters in November 2012 for my Eureka Optima 431F light handheld vacuum. They work very well - better than the filter that came with the machine. As some reviews of this machine say, dust, hair and dirt tend to collect in a big clump at the top of the filter and this happens more or less instantly. Maybe this is a design flaw, but it's easy to deal with. Just clean the filter every time you vacuum - it's like removing the lint in a clothes dryer. I do this by using a stiff scrubbing brush to scrape away the dirt. It only takes a few seconds and makes a huge difference in suction power. Periodically (about every 6 weeks or so) I wash the filter with mild detergent and warm water and let it dry. So I bought two so I always have a dry, clean one for my car. I just bought 2 more of these because the ones I bought 2 1/2 years ago look a little muddy and fuzzy but they actually work fine. FYI, the "correct" part for my model is 75273-1.
