Review on Sennheiser HD 206 Closed-Back Over Ear Headphones - Discontinued Model by Kai Wen ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No minuses as such, comfortable to use.

I took these headphones to listen to music from a laptop instead of the AKG K44, so I will compare with them and with the in-ear Sennheiser CX 200. The design of the headphones is minimalistic and pleasant. AKG-shki generally look like a monster. The ear pads are a little harsh, but over time they will be softer, the ear is completely closed, quite tightly isolated from outside sounds. The wire feels like rubber to the touch, like the 200 plugs that I have for about 5 years. The plastic is durable, moderately sonorous. Well, I upset the double wire, in AKG it only comes out of the left ear. Sound! And now let all "music lovers" who expect an explosion of sound from monitors read carefully. Not a single phone can properly drive the speakers of such headphones without an additional amplifier! If the Sennheiser CX 200 from the phone gives a thick juicy bass and clean highs with slightly sagging mids (this is a proprietary sound) at 60% volume, then the HD 206 simply sings, three times quieter. However, the picture changes if you connect the headphones to a laptop and adjust the equalizer on the player. And yes, we will listen to flac, not dry mp3, that's what monitor headphones are taken for. It is already impossible to listen to plugs, but HD 206 wakes up! A clear sound, the bass became more audible, and the sound is no longer in the head, like with plugs, but around, it envelops. What about AKG? And they lose to the synheiser in the depth of the bass! In both monitors, all music, any instrument is perfectly audible, but the synnheizer also pleases with the richness of low frequencies. Moving on to a dying computer with a true Sound Blaster Audigy! Here the HD 206 is already losing. The sound has become richer, bassier, thicker and louder, but that's all. But AKG showed the whole gamut of sounds! You can even make out what clothes the vocalist is wearing in front of the microphone, jeans or tights. But the bass is still better with the Sinheiser. Now we collect thoughts in a heap. Sennheiser CX 200 for phone Sennheiser HD 206 laptop AKG K44 for computer. after "warming up" the headphones, the sound should improve, but it is necessary to drive them for a week.

Pros
  • Sound quality, design, wearing comfort.
Cons
  • Has almost no

Its pros: Good sound for a low price. Tenacious, although they didn’t go further than the table (I use it in conjunction with a computer) Its cons: for this price, you can say no
