We bought these for our new garage but they are still building them. We temporarily installed one in our pantry, it easily illuminates this tiny space; it's almost too much in a small space. They take a second or two to light up, it's not instantaneous like traditional bulbs. We like the ability to aim, we'll see how it works in a larger space once the garage is built. In general we are satisfied with them. Edit: The new garage is finished and these two lightbulbs shine in all corners and edges. We rarely sue both at the same time, and it's quite nice to direct them to where they're needed, or not to shine directly in your eyes. I would buy them again.
