For some reason I wasted a hell of a lot of time trying to buy a USB-C cable/external hard drive enclosure that works on my MackBook Pro without a dongle. I originally bought two USB-C to USB-A cables for my old case, only to find out that they don't power my old case. Then I decided on a new case and bought this one. I should note that this case is plastic as opposed to the metal cases I usually get (and assumed). For me it's not that important, for some maybe it is. I then simply install my hard drive into the enclosure only to find that this enclosure is also USB-C to USB-A. Only this time he switched. The USB-C port is on the case, while the USB-A port is connected to the computer. I don't know who the hell would need that. I'm questioning my sanity at this point because I swore I couldn't say the cable wouldn't work with a MacBook Pro. Now I'm going to buy a USB-C to USB-C cable to use with it. Wish me good luck. Edit: After plugging this hard drive into my Apple dongle, I got several errors when trying to transfer 14GB of photos from it to my computer. Return and Refund.
