I was looking forward to this product because I have some old records that I haven't heard for a very long time. I also liked the idea of transferring many of my vinyl records to recordable CDs. The retro style was also attractive. When the product arrived, I carefully unpacked and connected it. There was no sign it was on other than a lit button: the CD button. I pressed the AM/FM button and nothing happened, the same goes for all the buttons (which did not light up when pressed). I carefully read the instructions, turned off the music center, waited 12-15 minutes, plugged it back in and...nothing. I was very disappointed. You might think that the company making the product should have some kind of quality control. I also noticed that unlike the Victrola Nostalgic Aviator photo, the elegantly printed name "Victrola" was not printed on the inside of the top cover. The exterior was well done and the wood was beautifully stained. Too bad it didn't work at all.
