Much heavier than expected for the price. The outer ring that supports the shock absorber straps and the screw loop that attaches to the mic stand/arm are metal and very durable. The inner ring that holds the mic is plastic, but it's also stronger than expected for a $20 purchase. overall very happy with this product. The only complaint I can have is that the adjustable pivot only swings in one direction and rotates vertically. When I first brought the retractable arm to me, the front of the blue Yeti mic was facing the wrong way, and I had to fiddle with a few different starting points for my retractable arm before the mic rotated in the direction I wanted. The mount definitely removes shock vibration as desired. Feels very strong and durable with no risk of accidental breakage. I recommend this mount to everyone!
