Faulty digitizer
FAILURE. The digitizer didn't work. I thought it might be my setup, but I verified that the product was defective by taking the iPad apart and replacing it with the previous (very cracked) screen, which still worked pretty well. I tried reinstalling the fixcracked screen replacement but without much fun. It may have been a one off mishap, but I'm not interested in paying for another to find out. I bought it a few months ago but didn't get a chance to get it repaired until the return window was closed.
