I had to go to the hardware store to buy a pair of M8 mounting screws that were a bit longer than the ones in this kit. Also, this kit is perfect for mounting my new Samsung MU8000 49" UHD TV with 400mm x 400mm mounting holes to an existing wall bracket that only has holes for a maximum size of 200mm x 200mm. The included steel plates and mounting screws are certainly strong enough to support today's lightweight LED TVs. I recommend this kit as a cost effective option to convert an existing 200mm x 200mm wall mount to support a TV with 400mm x 400mm mounting holes. Just be prepared to go to the hardware store to buy the right size mounting screws if the right size isn't in the box.
