Our house was built in the mid 1950's so most of the sockets are still 2 pin except for those which we have converted for modern electrical appliances etc. But all the other outlets are still 2-prong, and we had to use these 3-prong adapters, which are available at many outlets, but not all. So it was great to find these two pin plugs. I bought two of these to see if they work and if they work well enough and actually look a lot better than the old orange or gray adapters we used. I will buy four or six more of these over time. I recommend them to others who have similar wiring problems in older homes.
