I got the black version for $105 and wow what a great deal. Build quality is rock solid, with a good amount of metal, especially at this price point. The hinges are metal, the headband is metal, and the outer ear pads are metal. The workmanship is excellent, all parts work perfectly. A very impressive first impression. Could it be better? Well yes yes it can! The sound is simply stunning, regardless of the price. If you did a blind test with other expensive Bluetooth headphones, it would be right to mix them all. I have a Sony 1000XM2, Sony WH-H900N (h.ear on 2), Bose QC 35 and Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless to name a few. The form factor differs from the design of over-ear headphones, but they're light and comfortable, and also sturdy enough for the gym (weightlifting, weight machines, stair climbers, etc.). Bass: Assassin. Wow. Deep, resonant but crisp and separated from the mids so high bass doesn't leech into the low mids. Middle: Detailed and insightful. The vocals sound great and have a solid presence. The guitars sound great. HIGH: Clean and crisp, but not hissing or harsh. The fine instrumental is well detailed without becoming too flashy or fatiguing. This is the most difficult frequency range and AKG has done a great job here.
