This happens when there is too much leftover food inside. Once you click it it never stops and the manual says "Return for Service". To fix this, turn off the drain and manually remove debris. Plug it in and turn it on and it drains completely. Deactivate. Wait 24 hours for the water on the float switch to evaporate. Tilt it back 30 degrees and drop the device. Swimmer falls back to bottom position due to fall overload and failure. There is no need to unhook it, open the bottom with a screwdriver and reinstall it manually. I didn't see this information anywhere, so I decided to post my findings for others. Sincerely, Rob has fixed E4 for me twice already.
