My 2006 Toyota 4Runner had a check engine light come on after a scan showed it was due to a small fuel leak. I read online that it could be the fuel cap. I bought it to replace my old one and couldn't believe the difference. This cap is much tighter than my old cap. With the old lid I was never sure if the lid was tight enough (probably a sign that it needs to be replaced). After the replacement the light went out and never came back.
