Review on πŸ’» Nulaxy KM12 Backlit Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard with Magnetic Detachable Leather Cover | Rechargeable Keyboard for iPad, iPhone, Apple Phone, Samsung Tablets by Dean Gomatham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great price and functionality. Some strange key combinations.

In general, the keyboard is very good. GOOD: The backlight is good. Connectivity is very good as it doesn't take long to reconnect once you exit sleep mode. Keystrokes seem to register correctly, with no accidental double clicks. The lid is well designed and the magnets work well. Pairing was easy the first time. Many keyboards have oddly random positions for the command, option, control, and function keys. They're all in the right place on this keyboard. NOT SO GOOD: I don't know about the shelf life beyond 1 week, but I will update in about 6 months (if I don't return the keyboard). Key feel is a bit stiffer than my standard computer keyboard, but not bad. I have a few small issues with this keyboard as some of the keys I use ALL THE TIME require me to press a modifier key. For example... I very rarely use the ESC key, but I use the home button on my keyboard to control my iPad dozens of times a day. The default key function is ESC, but you must hold down Fn + ESC for the keyboard to function as a home button. I also don't like that there are 2 backspace or delete buttons on the top right. It must be the same keys. Another issue that can be crucial is that the shortcut key to bring up the on-screen virtual keyboard isn't working. When you want to type emoji, on other hardware keyboards, just press a key to bring up the onscreen keyboard. Since it doesn't work, you need to turn off the keyboard, wait 8-10 seconds for the keyboard to turn off, the virtual keyboard will appear, then you will have access to the emoji keyboard. The 4/F4 key has a keyboard icon printed on it, so it should work, but no key combination (Fn+4, etc.) turns on the virtual keyboard. Overall, the keyboard is very nice and functional and very convincing for the price. It's a bit annoying when commonly used functions are a bit hard to access.
