I was worried that this camera wouldn't justify itself as the price was lower than the higher rated USB PTZ cameras which are three times the price . This camera worked so well that I bought a second one. The camera is used for live transmission of church services from a hall with 300-400 seats. It's located on a balcony 75-100 feet from the stage and the optical zoom is ideal for all areas of the stage, including close-ups of the speakers on the podium. The audio from the camera isn't used so I can't comment on the quality, but the video is exceptionally clear. PTZ functions are just as easy to control with the supplied remote control as camera control in the streaming software (OBS). The autofocus works very well and is stable. The camera stores 10 preset positions, including zoom level, and repeats them when selected with a single button press on the remote control. The only downside is the performance. The cameras are located 15 to 20 feet from electrical outlets, and the manufacturer does not offer power strips or a 12V DC power distribution system and strongly recommends that no other power source be used for the cameras. I thought I could use a standard 12V security camera power distribution system, but the power cable connector is wrong. They recommend hiring an electrician to install a new outlet (which will likely cost more than a camera) or using an extension cord, which is what I currently do.
