A little bigger than I expected but I had to find a different storage solution for that. What really matters is that this is an amazingly durable ironing board. Perhaps the best quality is that the included padding and cover resembles a lot more the padding and cover of a traditional ironing board than the flimsy padding found on most tabletop boards. The slightly larger than usual countertop size adds to the usefulness of this item. You have to be a bit careful if the garment you're ironing goes over the hem of the board - the fabric that lies across the hem doesn't pinch either, but a quick shift to one side or the other will allow you to give in the missed section good press. If you're short on storage space or, like me, can't handle a full-size ironing board, this is a very good option. NB: The only item I have ironed on this board that I would not recommend is the 48" x 84" tablecloth - the board is too small for this project.
