I was able to use them for some other smaller photos but just want to clarify for other first time buyers that the frame will not fit a 12x16 photo. The description of the frame says it is a 12x16 photo frame, which to my knowledge means it can hold a 12x16 photo with no backing. Even the dimensions in the photos of the item indicate that it has a 12x16 glass opening. It's not like this. That's about 1/4 inch less all around. How do I know? I pulled out a tape measure and measured the picture (which is exactly 12x16) and then the smaller frame. So I pulled out a photo of the display and compared my photo to the photo in the frame. The framed photo is also smaller and this photo fits perfectly in the frame. I even tried to see if my 12x16 photo would fit. It's not like this. Overall I appreciate the look of this frame but this is the second frame I've ordered in this style (and I'm pretty sure the other frame I ordered was made by the same company but as a different product being sold), and both frames had the same issue, leading me to think it's the same frame. Twice I had the exact same problem with a frame that was supposed to be 12x16. I understand you get what you pay for, but I want the ad to reflect the product.
