This fan was a huge waste of money. The master switch barely works - it takes some fumbling to make it work at all, and doesn't want to stay in the "off" position (it's clear from the "feel" that either a bad switch was set or a good one was wrong adjusted.) When it works, it moves very little air. Worst of all, however, is the design of the battery compartment. It took me almost ten minutes to insert the required 8 D-Cells - the tray has protrusions in places and a wide rim making this almost impossible. Removing to charge proved even more difficult; I ended up having to resort to a tablespoon and gouging out an expensive rechargeable D cell in the process. Don't waste money. The only reason this isn't a one star product is because it worked at all. After other even worse events, I ended the whole brand.
