Out of the packaging, it has a very loud initial roar. After doing some investigation, I discovered that the temperature is maintained at 85-89 degrees while the cooler is operating at 100% of its normal speed, which is 50%. This occurs when the cooler is under load. After I replaced the thermal paste, I made sure to inspect it, and I found that everything was in working order. The temperature pattern has not shifted in any way. During periods of inactivity, the temperature rises to between 45 and 50 degrees, necessitating the ongoing activation of the cooling system (the highest switching threshold is set at 50 degrees). A "scratching" sound is made by the cooler when it is started at low speeds. Other than completely replacing the cooling system, there are no other potential solutions to this problem that have been proposed thus far. Installing MSI Afterburner as opposed to the native utility resolves issues with the sounds produced by the cooler as well as constraints on the ability to alter the speed at which the fan rotates. 2 After the Arctic Accelero Xtreme III was installed, there is no longer an issue with the level of noise or temperature. Even the Accelero Mono Plus should be able to handle it in theory, but the Accelero Twin Turbo III equipped with a backplate will be the optimal solution.
