After 2 years I can finally give a rating. We had our cat for 5 years before my son became allergic to him. We believe it was caused by puberty when he became a teenager. Worse in the winter months when he's playing lacrosse. I bought a spray and detergent and worked diligently on carpets and bedding for about 6 months. He felt better with that and the air purifier. We put the cat feeder in the downstairs bathroom and the cat started sleeping with me. His symptoms mostly got better, so of course I got lazy and stopped the treatment. He felt a little stuffy, but not unbearable. We had a puppy in November and she and the cat aren't fully interacting yet, so the cat mostly slept upstairs with my son. My son's symptoms were terrible (we're having a cold winter) and I was heartbroken at what this had done to him. He's stuffy all the time. Yesterday when he was at school I finally rip out food and wash all his sheets and rugs. Last night before he went to bed he said to my husband that day and night are up. He could not believe it. This morning he wasn't constipated at all. We are all amazed at how well this material works. I definitely need to be more diligent next year until he goes to college. The only downside of this product is that it has a very bad odor when left on carpets. Once they are dry and vacuumed everything will be back to normal. Little price.
