Review on Maretron J2K100 01 NMEA J1939 Bridge by Mike Kies

I have a 2004 Cummins QSM11 with a J1939 engine data out port and my new Garmin 7616 has a J1939 engine data in port. Guess what? They will NOT talk to each other. You need the J2K100 to convert the Cummins J1939 output to NMEA 2000 data and connect it to the NMEA trunk with a T-connector. works wonderfully! It took me 2 months of messing around with cables, wires and connectors before I realized I needed J2K. Installed in minutes, a great deal, albeit expensive.
