If your sound quality metrics are strong deep bass and high treble when you crank the Low and High Graphic EQ sliders in the car to the max, then they may be ideal for you. As far as I can tell, its digital processing sets the extreme frequencies apart from everything else. I don't think these are physical drivers and structures, but rather digital manipulation to give the casual listener the *perception* of range and clarity, but that's my guess. It's distracting and a little tiring to listen to. This only applies to Bluetooth audio. With a physical cable they sound much more normal and pleasant, although they do not impress qualitatively. But I want to use them with bluetooth. They are comfortable and work well. my only problems are with sound. They return. I was hoping for more from Philips, which has a respectable, if not outstanding, track record for sound quality. I used a pair of Sennheiser HD 4.40 BTs for comparison - basically very similar price and specs, and they sound really good. My only issue with them is that they are a little tight for my large ears.
