This is a good thermometer that can be used for a variety of purposes including frying, grilling, barbecuing, soup and tea. So far I've used it for air roasted chicken thighs and tea. This works fairly well, although for some reason the readings don't stabilize quickly when measuring. However, in my experience I have found that it is quite accurate. Foldable probe, hold function, desired temperature alarm function are some useful features. I have no complaints about this thermometer other than that the LCD display could have been bigger.
