The length makes it so versatile. With 3 of these in the pack I can plug one into any TV and not have to detach it if I want to hook up another TV to my computer. For me, this is a great convenience and time saver. Also, the cable is long enough that I can leave my laptop next to me for control while the other end of the cable is plugged into the back of the TV across the room! This allows me to watch Netflix on the main TV in one room and have my laptop screen face the other way up to 20 feet away. I never stop moving. So if I can see the screen from different angles on different screens, I can attend a webinar or whatever while doing my own thing.
