We use several types of toothpaste and have used similar dispensers in the past with great success. We have a Star Wars themed bathroom so I figured my kids would love that. They did. So much so that they stole it and we had to track it down multiple times. It works well on some brands, namely those with a thinner thread on top. If you use any smaller brand of "mom and pop", even threaded ones, they don't seem to stay in place due to the design of the caps. If you use a leading brand this will work great. If you use natural toothpaste with a slightly wider tip, it will fall off.
