Review on LUCKUP Cordless Blackout Pleated Install by Eric Jefferson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Blocking the light in my daughter's room made a significant difference!

We installed them in my little daughter's room. We had standard plastic mini blinds and then Black Out blackout drapes on top. This worked, but only blocked about 40% of the light coming through the windows. Ever since my daughter got her crib out of bed, she's been waking up hours earlier than ever. So I assumed it was the light in the room and tried to find something to fix it for a reasonable price as I wasn't sure if it really was the problem. I bought them, removed the mini blinds and turned on the lights. Curtains range from heavy blackout to "room blackout" curtains rather than hoping those shades will make the difference. The light is now blocked by at least 80%. This is partly because we don't crop the shades to the ideal size. We didn't have a utility knife, so the knife we used was less accurate. You can still see some light through the shades, wish they were a bit thicker and they were 100% blacked out. But for the price, they served their purpose and looked pretty good. My only other complaint is that it literally came with just tie clips to hold it open. Not the clips shown in some photos, they are white and can hold them open and allow them to fan out. I thought it looked very neat and that was one of the reasons I bought it. I intended to use photos to show the difference, but couldn't get a realistic picture of how dark one was compared to the other. The first day after switching to this, my daughter fell asleep before her usual time again! No more waking up to the sun!
