It goes well with my stereo microscope, bright and handy. The main disadvantage is that the body of the illuminator is made out of flimsy plastic. The illuminator attaches to the sight by tightening three screws that thread through the body onto the rotating nosepiece. The plastic case is about three millimeters thick, so when tightening the screws you have to be careful not to tear the plastic threads with you.
