It just happened. On time and in perfect condition. This mic stand is solid, not a flimsy model with an external spring. If you have a little soldering experience you can run the cable through most outer tubes and end up with a super clean looking stem. I simply cut the mic cable I already had and routed it through a square tube. I then soldered a 90 degree Neutrik XLR connector (right angle) to the end and it looks and works fantastic. This boom can easily carry your studio microphone and looks great on your desk. Pros: 1 Well made, not flimsy. 2 Comes with two different mounts and is suitable for thick desktops. 3 The bar is stiffer than my cheaper bar. and that is welcome. It moves easily but stays in place.4 The cable can be routed inside but soldering is required. When finished it looks very neat 5 Silent setup 6 Long range and easy to get out of the way Cons: 1 I didn't buy it first! PS: Unless you are looking for something really expensive, this arrow is more than suitable for professional or amateur use. UPDATE: Still very happy with this arrow. Works great, I use it every day! Great job Samson!
