The Ronin-S battery has screw bits as threads. It screws into both and offers multiple machined screw positions. When lifting the handle on an extension or monopod, you don't want the helical threads to break. Attaching at the 1/4 and 3/8 points from the bottom is the best possible protection when adding attachment points.
