When I first received and assembled the product when I connected my PS4 the red light came on. Then when I connected the HDMI cable to the TV on the other side, the green light came on there. So I just assumed that because those two were glowing, that was all I would need. However, nowhere in the instructions does it say you have to use the power adapter if you get one, or that the power adapter is a micro USB cable. They also don't give you a power plug. Of course the end of the power supply is USB, regular USB, they still don't give you anything to plug into an outlet. As soon as I connect the power supply, everything works. However, it would be nice if the instructions stated that a power adapter is required and that the micro USB cable is the specified power adapter.
