not as soft as I was hoping

I used to run in the Ascics Gel Kayano but recently found the toe box was getting too tight and my toes were tingling while running and sometimes I get cuts caused when my toenails rubbed against my skin. While I like their upper, the "high-density" (HD) foam isn't as soft as I was hoping after reading about all the Boost shoes. They also had a significant break-in period for me, which I've never experienced in a running shoe before. Although my first run in them was great (and I ran faster than before), when I tried to run in them two days later, my knees and ankles hurt. I went back to my old running shoes and it took 2 weeks before I could walk pain free again. I can finally walk in them pain free but I find these shoes are not as comfortable as I had hoped. Otherwise they are stylish and comfortable. I really like their sock and their minimalistic design. This means when I stop running in them they will be great everyday shoes!
