This is a good adapter - Manufacturer's design issue

. So this works by plugging into an existing connector that holds the desktop mount on the bottom of the monitor. That's the weirdest thing I've ever seen. However, if you have a Samsung monitor, this is to ensure that this seems like the only option if you want to mount a VESA monitor. This adapter plate is well designed and works well - it's just bad Samsung design. Lower than regular VESA mounts as it attaches to the bottom of the monitor. It also means the user loses some "firmness" at the top and bottom of the monitor since you cannot adjust the tension of the monitor mounting area on the monitor (it was created for the desktop stand). But it works. . I ended up mounting the monitor vertically and that fixed a lot of those issues for me. It is very simple and easy to use.
