Strong enough to hold an adult.
This is a Christmas present for my daughter so she didn't see it. I took it out to check and it appears to be very well made. It also holds my weight very well. The board is slightly curved at the edges. I honestly don't know if it's supposed to be like that but I think it will be helpful for my 8 year old daughter while she learns to ride.
