Review on πŸ’§ WGB32BM Sediment Manganese Filtration System by iSpring by Jamie Smith

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Plan ahead and isolate the system for maintenance.

For this project I removed an old water softener that no longer worked, built a wall in a previously unfinished room, and added filters and laundry hookups in my basement. It's like a water bottle show. I never knew I had to shower in bottled water, but I do. me from needing a bucket every time. This extra drain is great for draining house water or filters when I had to change filters or do some maintenance. the ability to isolate the entire system behind shut-off valves and remove if necessary using shark bite fittings. This is the best setting in my setup process. I processed the entire CPVC block first, but it had a slight leak on the 3rd filter inlet due to insufficient plastic tape. After having to cut out the entire system I decided to reconsider the setup and the results were much better. More room. better flow. And maintenance without turning off the water throughout the house. I also left room for future UV upgrades with a covered outlet. If I have to do it again I would add a 2x6 where the filters attach to the wall rather than the drywall in that area to space the filter out a bit. Due to the weight, the filters tilt down slightly. The mounting bracket needs angle brackets for extra strength (4/5 - less than ideal in my rating). The final installation took about 3-4 hours. But that was after I had planned everything well. Plan ahead and isolate the system as shown in my drawings. This helps if you have a leak or other issues. Or if you ever migrate to another system in the future.

Cons
