I needed a durable strainer for my 6 QT Instant Pot that didn't have silicone feet or handles. Why? Because food debris can easily get caught between silicone and metal, making cleaning difficult or worse and causing health problems. This is strong enough not to bend or dent and is silicone free. I use it to instantly steam potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, green beans, etc. in an Instant Pot. After removing the veggies, I quickly rinse the steamer and there are no leftovers in it. Okay, once I let it sit too long, but after washing it in the dishwasher, it became shiny.
