Should have known better

I should have known better! When I read previous customer comments about using and repackaging this item, they were true. The one I received had light yellow dust combined with graphitic paste stuck everywhere. I should have just returned it on the spot but decided to try the product to see if it was of any value. Here is my experience.1. Oversized 2. Nightmare to break out 3. Weak, loose fitting 4. Nightmare to clear5. Poor quality 6. Overcharge. The purpose of this thing was to make cleaning easier, or at least keep the sawdust to a minimum. You get one from the other, but not both. And in the end it will be neither efficient nor easy. Velcro all over the hood and where you would expect sawdust to slide off. Velcro, however, attracts him like a magnet. Flushing the thing out with a hose would be the only way to completely remove excess dust. The breakdown was decisive for me. The hose has clips that hold in place the elastic bands used to maintain tension when connecting. They went to great lengths to disconnect the hose. It is very difficult to separate them all in one frame to fold this thing in half for storage. Eventually some of the clamps came loose and it took pliers to get them back in place. It's not something you're going to duplicate every time you break this thing, so you'll end up with a little boat awning. Installing this thing is ridiculous. It wobbles and shifts with every cut you make. Overall, I feel cheated for overpaying for an item that never left beta.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • So far so good
