Review on πŸ’€ Dead DO TH Killer Precision Holder: Enhancing Accuracy and Control by Larry Gaines

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great addition for any professional or DIY enthusiast

I bought this to make my own tool belt. It's well constructed, well stitched and the clasp stays on without impeding access to the tape measure. I would not recommend this for small tape measures. I totally understand that if you're looking for a tape holder, you probably have a larger 25ft tape. I've tried this with both my 30ft Stanley Fat Max and my 25ft Craftsman. Both fit and the mount works well. After working intensively in my home for the past year and a half, I sat down to take stock before I began tackling my basement. After using the small pocket in my leather tool belt as a measuring tape, I found that other construction debris had also accumulated in the pocket. My tape measure got stuck in my pocket with drywall dust, wood shavings, and nails. Also, toward the end of the project, I ditched the tool belt and just taped the belt to it. I found myself having to scratch newly finished walls and door frames on a number of occasions. It would mean more work for me. This holder solves both problems as the bottom is slightly open to allow debris to pass through and the nylon helps protect the surfaces around me from scuffs. I also noticed something else. Due to the fact that I was constantly cutting and removing the strap from my belt, it was rubbing through my belt. Of course, this is a Levi's belt made up of several thin layers of leather glued together and it may not be the best quality. I have found that attaching this holder to my belt will one day give me the ability to access my belt without having to re-attach it to my belt every time. I would buy again and would recommend if you use a tape measure frequently for projects to see if it helps you.

Pros
  • For top brand measuring tapes
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was some
